The Half Moon Parlour is a private studio space, providing beautiful tattoos, a kind and welcoming environment as well as upholding anti-racist, queer, and body positive/neutral values.

Opening in March 2025 in Mahone Bay Nova Scotia.

Tattoo artist Fraea Blanchard Best started tattooing professionally in 2019 in Victoria, BC. As an artist, they blended community teachings with their craft, introducing a gentle, tuned in approach. Their tattoos celebrate personal stories and rituals and their space aims to make all bodies feel welcomed.

Inspired by the works of Aubrey Beardsley, John J Audubon, Old book spines, etchings and botanical illustrations, Fraea blends old and new together marrying contemporary subjects with classic styles.
